Sometimes, Works Cited entries look so different that there seems to be no common underlying logic. Just look at these two different entries:

"Even in Kindergarten?" The Dallas Morning Sun 12 Feb. 1999:

     B1+.

White, Ann, and Susan Brett. Problem or Solution? Technology in  

     Education. New York: Virago Press, 1993.

One begins without the author's title; one begins with authors' names. One gives a day of the year; the other, only a year. One has a publisher; the other doesn't. What could they possibly have in common?
