Locally, the chapter supports the college and community through various means. Numerous fundraising avenues allow FACC to offer several scholarships to its members and their dependents. Working with local agencies, community service projects are planned for each quarter, and the chapter contributes to several local charitable events throughout the year. The chapter hosts occasional social events each year such as the welcome back coffee, ice cream social, and July 4th cookout. In support of FACC goals, the chapter supports the college administration in varied capacities in their dealings with the Florida Legislature.
