The A+ Certification provides an industrywide means of certifying the competency of computer service technicians.
CompTIA A+ Certification is granted to those who have attained the level of knowledge and troubleshooting skills that are needed to provide capable support in the field of personal computers. The A+ certification can also be counted as the required elective in Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA).
Take courses CET 2171 and CET 2178 to prepare for the A+ Essentials (220-601) exam, which covers basic computer concepts, hardware upgrading & troubleshooting, operating systems, security, safety and soft skills such as customer service. The elective technician exam will cover more of the hands-on aspect of the topics tested in the Essential (220-601) exam and covered in OWC courses CET 2171 and CET 2178.
